We breed an occasional litter of longhaired puppies from stock that is fit for purpose and of sound temperament.
Our dogs are hip scored under the BVA/KC Hip Dysplasia scheme. The current average for the weimaraner is a total of 13. Callie has an excellent score of 3:3 and Della’s is 8:8 – slightly higher than average but even on both sides. Della is also DNA profiled.
We look for lifetime homes that are committed to the level of socialising and training that a weimaraner requires. Ideally we would like our puppies to work or compete in a sport that will keep them physically fit and mentally stimulated. However committed family homes are also perfectly acceptable.
We aim to give our puppies the best possible start by ensuring:
· they are reared indoors and are well socialised and handled on a daily basis.
· they are used to car travel.
· they are recalling to a gundog whistle for every meal.
· a sounds CD is played daily so the puppies are not frightened of gunfire, fireworks, thunder etc.
· they experience a variety of foods in very small amounts to develop good dietary tolerance.
· puppies begin to experience ‘alone time’ away from their littermates to make the transition to a new home easier.
All puppies are vet checked and leave us with a comprehensive puppy pack ~ diet sheet and sufficient food for several days, sounds CD, gundog whistle, puppy Kong, familiar bedding etc ~ Kennel Club registration, 5 generation Kennel Club pedigree and 6 weeks free insurance. We also offer lifetime support.
All puppies will have endorsements ‘progeny not eligible for registration’ and ‘export pedigree not allowed.’ These may be lifted subject to criteria.
